Happy 50th Anniversary

I have heard of so many people having a 50th Anniversary to attend, myself included, so I
thought I would make a card for the occasion.  At Leadership, Stampin' Up! demonstrated a card using the Manhatten Textured Impressions Die with the Taste of Textiles Card Stock.  It was a gorgeous bronze/chocolate card.  I will find it and
post it later in this post to show you what inspired me.

For a 50th Wedding Anniversary we need gold, so I used our Brushed Gold Card Stock and ran it through the Big Shot using the Manhatten Impressions Die.  To make it sparkle even more, I applied glitter to the raised portion of the flowers.  There are so many ways of accomplishing this task and they all vary in time and mess.  For this particular sample I used the tombow liquid glue.  I ran a bead of adhesive all across the raised flowers and then applied the gold glitter from the Fine Galaxy glitter pack.

Some other ways of applying the glitter are crystal effects or a 2 way glue pen.  The 2 way glue pen can dry quickly so you can only do small portions at a time which makes it quite time consuming.

I embossed my greeting on whisper white card stock with gold embossing powder and then punched it out with my lg oval punch.  I also added a touch of gold under the white punch by punching out a gold lg oval and  I then mounted that onto a black scallop oval.  And to finish it all off I used White Taffeta ribbon and then mounted the punched greeting with dimensionals.

Here is the card from Leadership that inspired me for today's post. Have a great day and don't forget to look at the updated Discontinued Accessory List.
