Getting Back on Track

Well a lot has happened since my last post!  Movers arrived 1 Aug, unloaded our things, unpackers came the next day and since then it has been a flurry of commotion!!  Busy month of August organizing, cleaning and doing some renovations.  We got ourselves settled enough for Ashley to go back to work and the kids to start school and then I got myself ready for my trip to St. George, Utah.  What an amazing time I had relaxing, stamping and sharing business tips with the top demonstrators of Stampin' Up! at Founder's Circle.  So much fun and now that I have had a taste of it, I will be working to get myself there again next year.  We participated in a swap while we were there and we were challenged to make a simple 2 layer demonstratable card.  Well, I succeeded with the two layers... maybe a little time consuming with the masking and using the stamp-a-ma-jig, but I love what I came up with.  Here it is:

I used a new stamp set from the Holiday Catalogue called Watercolor Winter (pg 14).  I stamped the solid poinsettia in cherry cobbler classic ink in the bottom corner of a precut whisper white framelit.  Using the stamp-a-mj-jg, I then stamped the outline poinsettia over top with Bravo Burgundy.  I then masked the three poinsettias and went through the same process with the poinsettia stamp but this time using Always Artichoke ink and then stamped the sprigs as well before removing the masks.  I finished the poinsettias with little gold dots in the center using the new Gold Stampin' Dazzle marker.  I stamped my greeting in Early Espresso and sponged the edges of the framelit in Crumb Cake.  The Always Artichoke layer of card stock is a framelit one size smaller than the white, ran through the Holiday Frame Embossing Folder.  It was cut in half, sponged with always artichoke and then layered on the cherry cobbler card.  The white framelit was mounted on top with Dimensionals and then the whole card was sprayed with my champagne mist shimmer spray!!  Here is what 120 look like!! That is how many I had to make for my Founder's Circle swap.  It was 2 days of marathon stamping!!
