Off to Convention in Salt Lake City!!
This card uses the For the Birds Stamp Set (126407 clear, 126405 wood) from the 2012-2013 Catalogue. I used Gumball Green for my main card body and embossed it with the perfect polka dots embossing folder. I layered strips of the new Be of Good Cheer Designer Paper (126896) onto very vanilla card stock and sponged the edges with crumb cake ink. I mounted this onto the card front with dimensionals. I stamped the bird image with Staz-on black in on a piece of very vanilla card stock and then cut it out using the Labels Collection Framelits (125598). I coloured the birdy in with markers and a blender pen and sponged the label with crumb cake also. I added the final touch of a little black bow made with the Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta ribbon (119261). It is hard to image a Christmas Card already, but really it will be here sooner than we know it! That's it for today... will be back tomorrow evening with a post from Salt Lake City!! Have a great day!

Back at it One year later...
We said good-bye to a wonderful Catalogue and lots of great products on Thursday, but we also welcomed a very exciting new catalogue with new in-colours and lots of great new things yesterday! I am very excited about this next Stampin' Up! year. Quite a few new promotions were announced yesterday that I will be sharing her in the next few posts as well as we get to also look forward to the Holiday Mini Catalogue coming out a month earlier this year also!! I will be updating all my buttons and links on the blog in the next few days and will be creating a new blog header as well. (Have to remember how to do it all first! )
Now time for my share of the day for you..... I created this card for my Disney Incentive Trip Swap. I was playing around with the bleaching technique for my technique club and it inspired the colour choices.

More Spectacular Views of Alaska!
I should be relaxing but there is so much to see and do I don’t want to miss a beat and this morning was no exception. I was up at 5:30 am to see the sites as we entered into Tracy Arm Fjord. What a gorgeous site to see. I don’t even think I can capture the immense beauty of it.
Here is a photo of the glacier in the Tracy Arm Fjord:
It has been an incredible morning so far and as Ashley is sitting through a culinary demo and I am sitting in the back of the room typing up this post and then I will log into the internet to post it. The sun is shining and we have had great weather so far... no rain!
We did another swap last night at dinner and this is what I made to swap with the other 5 gals at my dinner table. It was so much fun and I can’t wait to share with you all the things I received. I have some great project ideas that we are going to make when I get home!
I made a bookmark with a bevelled windowpane and I used Digital Studio to create my art work with the Open Sea stamps. I just love my digital studio and really haven’t been using it to its potential. It is a product I think everyone should try because there are so many possibilities. I will try and show you all more when I am home. It is fantastic!!
We are just on our way to Juneau now and Ashley and I will be doing a tour of the Mendenhall Glacier and partaking in a Salmon Bake.
Ketchikan yesterday was wonderful and we finished off our night with some great entertainment. Here is a photo of the cute little town and Ashley and I on our float plane adventure.
We have been receiving pillow gifts every night when we get back to our room. It is so exciting. The first night was a cute little purse, second night of a vouchor for two pairs of Sunglasses and last night was a new 6 x 6 album from the next catalogue.
I just love Stampin’ Up! and all they do for us!
Don’t forget my online ordering special for while I am away.
Have a great day!

Greetings from Alaska
Tonight we have our first formal dinner and the Captains toast. It is very exciting. I have a great bunch of demonstrators sitting at my dinner table and tonight we are doing our first swap. Here is one of the cards I chose to do for one of the swaps.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope to be back sometime tomorrow evening. We are in Ketchikan all day! Can’t wait and fingers are crossed for nice weather.
Have a great day!
Catherine
